Studying for my MSc Criminology at the University of Stirling was one of the most transformative experiences of my life. I chose Stirling because of its top-ranking Criminology course, and it did not disappoint. The faculty and staff were truly exceptional – always approachable, supportive, and willing to guide me not only during my studies but even after I graduated.

Coming from the U.S. with my young son during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic was daunting, but the warmth of the Stirling community quickly put us at ease.

My son initially attended the local school until lockdowns shifted everything online, and while balancing both our educations was challenging, the kindness of the people around us and the university’s accommodation made it all manageable.

Living on campus surrounded by nature, with every amenity we could need, made our transition smoother than I could’ve imagined.

The course itself was rigorous and incredibly engaging – every lecture left me wanting to learn more. I’m now motivated to pursue a PhD in Criminology, something I never imagined before attending Stirling.

The support I received, from academic tutors to mental health counsellors, helped me navigate the isolation of the pandemic, especially as a single parent in a new country.

Since graduating, the degree has opened doors to incredible professional opportunities, including roles at the District Attorney’s Office in California and currently with the Federal Government.

I’ve also connected with a network of professionals who share a passion for justice and criminology. I would absolutely rate this course a 10/10.

If you’re looking for a place that blends academic excellence with natural beauty and a truly supportive community, Stirling is the place to be.
