A celebration of all things wellbeing.

Throughout the week there will be a variety of activities happening for staff and students, from meditation sessions and herbal tea creation to games nights, stress ball making and social hot chocolate.

Activities available throughout Wellbeing Week

In addition to the full programme of Wellbeing events listed below, there are lots of drop-in activities, resources and spaces around campus and online to help you unwind and relax. 

Library wellbeing space

Refresh and relax in the library wellbeing space. The area is equipped for mindfulness, quietly relaxing, or browsing the many wellbeing resources available. The wellbeing space is located on level 2 of the library where you can enjoy the views of our beautiful campus. See library opening hours

Kindness and encouragement walls

Visit the kindness and encouragement walls in Juniper, Beech, and Willow Court. Share uplifting notes, words of encouragement, or acts of kindness- this wall is a reminder that even small gestures can make a big difference!

Library jigsaw

Take a break and help us complete our jigsaw. Located on level 2 of the library and available during library opening hours

The library book swap

Reading for just 6 minutes can help reduce your stress levels. Pop into the library to bring a book and take a book from our book swap bookcase. A book swap is also a great way to save money, recycle old books and read new ones. The book swap is located in the library wellbeing space on level 2 and available during library opening hours.

Virtual library wellbeing space

Take a break to relax and refresh in our Virtual Library Wellbeing Space. Download one of our colouring sheets or complete one of our virtual jigsaws. 

Loch View

The Loch View Wellbeing Suite allows you to decompress and hit pause on the day-to-day hustle.

You can find the suite in Cottrell Building room 2A1, beside the Queens Court entrance. All students, undergraduate and postgraduate, are welcome. Drop-in anytime from 9:30 to 16:30, Monday to Friday.

Library LEGO

Unwind, de-stress, and let your creativity flow with our new LEGO station. Perfect for refreshing your mind between study sessions.

Visit the LEGO station on level two of the library.

Wellbeing book display and reading list

Take a look at our wellbeing reading list, including a list of mood-boosting fiction books, or pop into the library to browse some of the collection on our book display or in the wellbeing space.

Stay cosy. Come to the library and borrow one of our blankets.
